Music (including music development plan)

Our music curriculum enables pupils to perform, listen to, review, and evaluate music from a variety of historical periods, genres, styles, and traditions, including the works of great composers. Our pupils will learn to sing and use their voices to create and compose music individually and collaboratively, with opportunities to learn a musical instrument and progress to higher levels of musical excellence. Additionally, children will explore how music is created, produced, and communicated through interrelated dimensions such as pitch, duration, dynamics, tempo, timbre, texture, structure, and musical notation.
