Club routines
On arrival at club, children are encouraged to engage with the range of activities on offer. At the end of the morning club session, infant children are escorted from club to their classrooms. Junior children are escorted into the junior playground, where they join their class.
At the end of the school day, infant children are collected from their classrooms and brought to club. Junior children make their own way over to club. All children are registered and given a hot or cold snack and a drink. Following this, there is a range of activities for them to enjoy, including outside activities when weather permits.
Terms and conditions
- Children must be collected from the club before 6.00pm prompt.
- Staff need to be informed if someone other than the parent/guardian will be collecting their child. If that person is not known to staff then they will need to provide a password which will be told to us by the parent/guardian when they advise us that somebody else will be collecting the child.
- All children must be registered with us before they can attend the Out of School Club and all relevant forms must be completed by parent/guardian.
- All fees must be paid by the requested date by either cash, a cheque made payable to Colmore Junior School or Childcare Voucher. In the event of non-payment of fees, your child’s place in the Out of School Club will be cancelled.
- A charge will be made for late collection, which is £15 for the first 15 minutes and then £15 for each 15 minutes thereafter. Persistent late collection will result in your child’s place being withdrawn.
- Please inform a member of staff if your child is not attending.
- Sessions cannot be exchanged, but you may book additional sessions when needed, subject to availability.
Safeguarding
We work together to keep all of the children in our care safe and free from harm. All of our staff have an enhanced DBS check and receive regular and up-to-date safeguarding training. The club adheres to Colmore Infant and Junior Schools Safeguarding policy which can be found here.
To safeguard our children, our external gates are locked from 3:30-6:00pm. If you need to gain access to collect your child then you will need to use the intercom situated on Grove and Howard Road. Please call to the Junior office where a member of the club staff team will be on hand to let you in. If contact cannot be made then please call the club mobile number.
On evenings when the site needs to be open to allow parents to attend parents evening appointments we keep the children within the Jubilee Court hall or in another suitable location where access is restricted and monitored. We remain open on these nights to support working parents.
